How do I set up a FOIL?

We help do this.

With a mask file along with your CMYK file. The mask file indicates where the foil will be placed. The file process is the same as spot UV—100% K where foil is placed, 0% where the foil is not placed.

Ask for more information.
Need help? Ask us to set up your mask.

How do I set up a Foil with PANTONE print ... ?

Each foil gets its own vector file – PDF files are fine. 100% K where foil is placed, 0% where the foil is not placed. The print file will be a separate file.

Need help? Ask us to set up your file.

How much is delivery ?

Its free in the continental US. Your final costs are listed here which includes delivery, setup and proofs - and no taxes (except WA).

Foil and Embossed Business Card Notes.

We setup your foil and embossing!

Vector files for the foil and embossing only! Send us your file and we will tell you if it will work. Or ask for samples!

Foiling lays metallic foil onto the card as a flat solid (no gradations). This blind foil process is actually the third process after printing and cutting and because of this the registration of the foil isnt always dead-on and can be a sixteenth (1/16th) of an inch off either way (total of an eighth of inch) – when designing a card this registration needs to be kept in mind.
